WAHM Fun: Ten Ways To Procrastinate Today
By Dana Prince on Nov 15, 2008 in Uncategorized, WAHM Fun, WAHM Procrastination
As a work at home Mom, I’m stressed out sometimes. I try to eat stress for breakfast and stop it from getting to me but once in awhile I do turn into a stress monster. It takes some effort to keep things together when you have a dozen writers working for you, 2 boys, a high maintenance boy toy man-child husband, pets and about a dozen clients to take care of.
I’m reminded of some of those “keeping sane in the workplace” chain letters with silly things you can do to amuse yourself at work. I thought it might be fun to make a list of things I can do here to amuse myself when I actually should be working. I’m not in a cubicle any more but with some of the online tools I have it’s kinda like being in a virtual cubicle farm…
Please feel free to add yours:
- Twitter myself a question and then and @answer myself for the amusement of my followers. (aka: http://twitter.com/DanaPrince/statuses/970817660) Ok, it’s probably only amusing to me.
- Google old boyfriends, ex-friends and try to find them on FaceBook. Hopefully I’m way hotter than they are.
- Kick the world’s butt at typingtest.com. 85wpm, tyvm.
- Check my earning stats on all my passive and active income streams.
- Google myself to see how great I look to potential clients who Google me. (Then go fix type-o’s that I’ve found as a result of Googling myself and my stuff!)
- Visit online forums. I spend waay too much time on those!
- Social bookmarking my stuff. Make link love to myself!
- Blog on one of my gazillion blogs
- Check out my online friends blogs and sites and social market for them.
- StumbleUpon. Great fun! If you use it, feel free to friend me @ stumbleupon.marleymauve.com

Good lord, I do these all the time. In fact, I stumbled to this page. I need rehab.
